[16a-Z19-7] Temperature control of a water droplet magnetically levitated by permanent magnets
Keywords:magnetic levitation, water, overcooling
Magnetic levitation of water was realized using permanent magnets. In addition, a temperature control device was incorporated, and the water droplet was observed with a microscope, gradually lowering the temperature from room temperature.
In the experiment, the water was not frozen even when the temperature dropped below -30 degrees Celsius. As the temperature was further lowered, the position of water droplet gradually changed and attached with the wall of a magnet. In the future, we will find out the reason why the position has changed and observe the solidification process precisely as well.
