Keywords:Heusler alloy

The layer thickness dependence of lattice strain, c/a and uniaxial magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant, Ku, of a Heusler alloy Mn2CoGa films were investigated, in this study. Two kinds of substrates, MgO (100) and SrTiO3 (100), were used to fabricate film samples showing different c/a ratios. A positive correlation between the values of c/a and Ku was confirmed. The sample series showing different c/a and Ku is interesting for characterizing spin dependent transport properties, such as anomalous Hall effect, anisotropic magnetoresistance effect, so on, in future study.
