[16p-Z28-11] X-ray Imaging and spectroscopic performance for CMOS image sensor
Keywords:CMOS Image Sensor
We are developing an X-ray imaging spectrometer for space application, employing CMOS image sensor for visible light. We evaluated imaging and spectroscopic performance for 3-25keV X-rays using Zyla, which is a front illuminated scientific CMOS manufactured by Andor Technology. Our experiments were performed by using three radioactive sources in room temperature and vacuum condition. In conclusion, it was found that the CMOS image sensor has a spectroscopic capability to distinguish between Kα and Kβ X-ray lines for wide range as well as a good imaging capability owing to 6.5um pixel size and showed high linearity between energy and pulse height.
