Nonlinear-optical glass-ceramics in fiber shape are a probable candidate for new photonic devises which have the high compatibility with optical fiber networks. In this study, we have demonstrated the optical modulation based on Pockels effect in the perfectly surface crystallized glass-ceramic fiber, in which Fresnoite-type Sr2TiSi2O8 with scond-order optical nonlinearity is radially oriented. In addition, the Pockels constants is higher than those of bulk samples, which is presumed to be due to the change in the shape of Sr2TiSi2O8 phase.
