We are trying to introduce He, an inert gas, into the radio frequency quadrupole (RFQ) to extend the interaction time of ion and laser. The vertical components of ion beam velocity are decelerated to the thermal energy level by the collision with He gas. Additionally DC electrodes are placed to draw the ion particlesthe exit of the RFQ preventing to stop in the RFQ region. We will report the improvement of the suppression rate of interference isotopes.
