The negative ion cooler at MAT consists of deceleration electrodes, a radio frequency quadrupole (RFQ), accelerator electrodes, aperture electrodes, and electrostatic lenses installed before and after the RFQ. In the experiment, the focusing of the ion beam was adjusted with an electrostatic lens to maximize the transmission efficiency in the ion cooler. We will report the experimental results.
