[17a-P02-1] Efficient fusion splicing waterproof fluoride glass fiber to silica fiber

In order to replace the visible light laser used for medical and processing applications with a fiber laser, this research aims to develop a highly waterproof visible light fiber laser using a waterproof fluoride fiber containing AlF3 as the main component, and we will elucidate the fusion conditions of silica fiber and waterproof fluoride fiber. In this paper, we report the measurement of tensile stress during cleaving (cutting) of waterproof fluoride fibers and the result of fusion between waterproof fluoride fibers.
