黄色レーザーは銅の加工やディスプレイ、医療現場などへの応用が期待されている。そこで小型化できる、メンテナンスが容易であるなど利点の多いファイバレーザーをベースにした黄色レーザーの開発を進めることにした。本研究ではダブルクラッド化したDy耐候性フッ化物ファイバを使用して、より高出力の黄色ファイバレーザーを構築することが最終目標である。今回はファイバレーザーの共振器について述べる。
