[17a-Z07-2] Spontaneous modification of spiking dynamics and synchronization of photonic neural network

Spiking neural networks (SNNs), which mimic dynamics of the natural neuronal systems, have recently attracted much interest. As mentioned in the previous talk, we have demonstrated that a pair of coupled degenerate optical parametric oscillators (DOPOs) can reproduce dynamics of a spiking neuron. In this talk, we discuss dynamics, especially, synchronization, of the DOPO SNN. We also talk about the application of the DOPO SNN to solve a combinatorial optimization problem.
