[17a-Z18-4] AFM Observations of Ostwald Ripening in a Silica Nano-particle Bimodal Suspension

Ostwald Ripening process was observed in a bimodal mixture of silica nano particles (50nm and 100nm) in water. Sandwich freeze-drying technique was successfully used for the sample preparations for AFM measurements to show the small peak shifts in the particle-size histogram, which are hard to detect in other methods.
