[17p-P05-2] X-ray excited optical luminescence and photoluminescence from Cr doped YAG

Cr doped YAG is a green crystal emitting red photoluminescence. Fluorescence from cr doped YAG has been applied to phosphor and/or fluorescence thermometer. Cr-doped YAG emits red light with X-ray irradiation. The characteristics of X-ray excited luminescence from Cr-doped YAG were evaluated as compared with those of PL.
