[17p-P10-16] Annealing Effect of Ultrathin Au Anode Buffer on the Durability of Organic Solar Cell

Keywords:organic solar cell, durability against illumination stress, ultrathin gold anode buffer

The annealing effect of thin pentacene and ultrathin gold anode buffer layers on the durability against illumination stress was experimentally investigated in small-molecule organic solar cells (OSCs). After annealing, the OSC provided an increase of 70% in durability compared with OSC without the anode buffer, keeping its initial power conversion efficiency. The ultrathin Au layer brought both a large absorption of ultraviolet light and highly dense nucleation sites for overlaid donor layer film formation. These were possible reasons for improving the durability.
