[17p-Z01-6] AI-based Medical Image Diagnosis Support

Hiroshi Fujita1 (1.Gifu Univ.)

Keywords:artificial intelligence (AI), medical image diagnosis, COVID-19

In this talk, we will start with a rudimentary explanation of deep learning (DL) in the field of medical imaging, and then explain DL applications for supporting chest imaging diagnosis. Research on DL-based CAD (AI-CAD) for the detection of pneumonia related to the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) is also active, and its use in clinical practice is progressing. In Japan, AI-CAD software for COVID-19 pneumonia detection support in CT images has been commercialized with the approval of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, and we will also introduce these.
