[17p-Z03-9] Progress and Prospects of High-Pressure Thermal Plasma Material Technology

Yasunori Tanaka1 (1.Kanazawa Univ.)

Keywords:Thermal plasma, Local thermodynamic equilibrium, Non-equilibrium

Thermal plasma/arc plasma is a high-pressure plasma having gas temperatures around 10000 K. It is usually regarded as a plasma following local thermodynamic equilibrium assumption under a certain condition. One advantage of the thermal plasma is high gas temperature that other media like flame hardly reach. This report summarizes the progress and prospects of the thermal plasma material technology.
