Keywords:photochromism, nanophotonics

Nanometer-scale photochromism spontaneously generates branching structures through composition of photoisomerization and crystal distortion. Using photons detected through this structure, we generated a Schubert matrix, a mathematical treatment of order structures that is universally important in decision making. Furthermore, using this matrix, we succeeded in sorting multiple slot machines according to their probability of winning.
