[17p-Z10-4] High-sensitivity Quantum Diamond Sensing and Applications

Keigo Arai1,2 (1.Tokyo Tech., 2.JST PRESTO)

Keywords:NV center, diamond, magnetometer

Nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond function as a high-sensitivity, high-resolution magnetic field sensor. In the future, social implementations such as human brain activity monitoring are expected. However, it is necessary to further improve the magnetic field sensitivity for these applications. In this talk, I will explain what parameters determine the magnetic field sensitivity, and explain what measures have been sought for improvement so far. Additionally, I will introduce recent efforts at Tokyo Tech.
