Technology that makes use of waste heat or low-grade energy is important for addressing worldwide energy security concerns. In addition, natural circulation pumps using convection are known. In particular, Strook et al. reported that the oil on the hot sawtooth structure generate a net flow due to convection. However, the study on a natural circulation pump considering the Marangoni effect is insufficient. In this report, we report a natural circulation pump that uses the interaction between Benard convection and Marangoni convection.
