[17p-Z18-1] [Young Scientist Presentation Award Speech] Temperature dependence of thermal conductance of metal nano-contacts prepared by electromigration

In order to elucidate the heat transport phenomenon of nanoscale junctions of metal electrodes, we have developed a unique measurement device using microfabrication technique. Small and robust device structure allowed us to measure the temperature dependence of thermal conductance of metallic nano-contacts. The contribution of phonons to heat transport was clarified experimentally from the obtained result.
