[17p-Z20-6] Superconductivity in Pr2Ba4Cu7O15-δ:Cu Nuclear-Spin Evidence of No Contribution of CuO2 Planes to Superconductivity
Keywords:cuprate superconductor, nuclear magnetic resonance, chain-driven superconductivity
Unlike all the other cuprate superconductors, it is not the CuO2 planes but Cu2O2 zigzag chains that drive the superconductivity of Pr2Ba4Cu7O15-δ (“Pr247”), which consists of PrBa2Cu3O7 (“Pr123”) and PrBa2Ba4O8 (“Pr124”), i.e., “Pr247” = “Pr123” + “Pr124”. Here, using home-built NMR system on a well-characterized Pr247 sample synthesized without the process of high-oxygen pressure, we have experimentally clarified that the CuO2 planes do not contribute to the emergence of superconductivity in the Pr247.
