希土類元素であるGdは4f軌道に7つの不対電子を持つため、磁気ナノ微粒子にGdをドープした際に、磁気モーメントの増大が期待できる。さらにMRIの造影剤として高いT₁緩和能を持つことが知られている。そこで本研究では、MnFe₂O₄ナノ微粒子に、GdをドープしたMnGd_xFe_2-xO₄を作製し、発熱効果が高く、将来的にMRIの造影剤としても応用が可能な磁気ナノ微粒子の作製を目指す。
