[18a-Z04-2] [Young Scientist Presentation Award Speech] Measurement of the depth directional distribution of the absorption coefficient at a femtosecond laser irradiated titanium surface by additional ablation
Keywords:metal, ablation, surface
For the purpose of elucidating the nanostructure formation mechanism by femtosecond laser ablation near the ablation threshold (Fth), we have proposed a new method for measuring the time change of the depth directional distribution of the absorption coefficient for the metal surface irradiated with the femtosecond laser below Fth. The absorption coefficient depth distribution for a titanium surface 0.3 ps to 1 ns after a 0.9 Fth femtosecond laser irradiation was measured. It was found that the absorption coefficient for the titanium target was doubled that of unirradiated titanium 100ps after the irradiation.
