The selective laser melting method is one of the additional manufacturing methods. So far, we have shown that spatter is reduced when modeling is performed under reduced pressure using the vacuum SLM method. However, it is known that when the laser is irradiated under reduced pressure, a substrate exposed layer appears near the molten bead, which causes deterioration of molding quality. Therefore, in this study, in order to develop an SLM process that suppresses the exposed substrate layer, we clarified the correlation between the exposed substrate layer and the amount of heat input by the laser.
