[18a-Z08-10] Relationship between surface-enhanced resonant Raman scattering and strong coupling at plasmonic hotspots formed between silver nanoparticle dimer
Keywords:SERRS, strong coupling
Single molecule resonant Raman detections have been realized at the gaps of gold or silver nanoparticle dimers by electromagnetic enhancement effect of plasmon resonance. The gap is called hotspot (HS) and enhanced resonant Raman scattering is called SERRS. Strong coupling between plasmon and excitons of small number molecules are expected to be realized at the HS. The origin of SERRS and strong coupling is coupling energy between plasmon and excitons. However, both phenomena have been independently treated. Thus, we summarize our attempt to reproduce strong coupling by coupling energy using SERRS. Furthermore, we investigated the photo-chemical reactions that are newly possible with single-molecule strong coupling.
