[18p-P04-8] Pentacene memory transistors using ligand-exchanged and energy-level controlled PbS colloidal nano-dots for carrier trapping layers

We fabricated pentacene memory transistors with PbS colloidal nano-dot (ND) monolayer, which was embedded as a charge-trapping layer between gate dielectric and organic semiconductor layers. Their writing time was shortened and,at the same time, retension time was extented when the energy levels in the PbS NDs were lowered and close to the HOMO of pentacene. Here, we used ligand-exchanged NDs of larger core diameter for the pentacene memory transistors, and further improved their performance.
