[18p-P06-7] Experimental determination of counting efficiencies in 4pa/2pa measurements using ZnS(Ag) scintillator
Keywords:radiation measurment
A common feature of short-lived α-nuclides, which are expected to be clinically applied, is the mixture of α/β nuclides, which makes radioactivity measurement difficult. In the presence of such α/β nuclides, we are trying a method using an extremely thin plastic scintillator as a method for selecting and measuring only the α ray. This study is to measure the radioactivity of α-nuclide by α-ray selection using ZnS (Ag) scintillator in 4π / 2π measurement. The counting efficiencies of the α and β ray for the thin scintillator were obtained individually using 241Am and 32P, and the α ray counting efficiency and the contribution of the β ray were quantitatively evaluated.
