[18p-Z07-4] Materials engineering and the physics of spin current generation

Masamitsu Hayashi1 (1.Univ. Tokyo)

Keywords:spin current, spin orbit interaction, acoustic waves

Topological insulators and semimetals are attracting significant interest as quantum materials for potential quantum computing applications. As charge, spin and photon-based quantum systems have been demonstrated, key to the technology is developing effective means to control such qubits. Here we discuss the physics and materials engineering of spin current generation for potential quantum technology applications.
