[18p-Z08-17] Fabrication and fundamental performance of surface-plasmon tip-taper fiber sensor
Keywords:plasmons
A plasmon resonance sensor using the tip of an optical fiber as a detection unit is promising as a highly sensitive sensor in a minute region with excellent remoteness. Previous research has been conducted in the short wavelength band of visible light in order to increase the sensitivity, while the 1550 nm band, which has excellent remoteness, has many structures that are difficult to fabricate, such as fine patterning of gold in the microsensing section. Therefore, we have previously investigated a tip-tapered waveguide type plasmon sensor for the 1550 nm band, which has a simple configuration. This time, we made a fiber-tip tapered plasmon sensor and evaluated its basic characteristics.
