Keywords:atmospheric-pressure plasma, mortar

Mortar fabricated from cement for ultrahigh-strength concrete used in the construction of tall buildings was irradiated with an atmospheric-pressure argon (Ar) plasma jet for 1 min before water curing. As a result, the strength of the mortar increased approximately 1.2-fold. It was found that irradiating mortar fabricated from cement for ultrahigh-strength concrete with an atmospheric-pressure Ar plasma jet is effective for improving the strength of the mortar.
