[18p-Z23-1] [Highlight]Third Stable State and Tristability of Nuclear Spin Polarization in Single Quantum Dots

Keywords:nuclear spin, hyperfine interaction, quantum dot

In nanostructures such as quantum dots (QDs), a single electron spin and tens of thousands of nuclear spins in a single QD are strongly coupled via hyperfine interaction, which affect the electron spin and nuclear spin polarization as Overhauser Field and Knight Field, respectively, and the two spin systems evolve mutually. In order to realize quantum state control and quantum memory, it is necessary to elucidate the intricate physics inherent to the coupled electron-nuclear spin system in nanostructures.
In this presentation, we show that the nuclear spin polarization, which has been experimentally and theoretically considered to have only two stable states, has a third stable state by experiments and model calculations.
