Magnetic-ions-intercalated transition-metal dichalcogenides have been known to show various magnetic ordering according to their intercalant species or intercalation level. However, their properties at the two-dimensional limit are so far less studied probably due to technical difficulty in exfoliation. In this study, we employed molecular-beam epitaxy (MBE), and succeeded in growing Cr1/3NbSe2 epitaxial thin films, which showed ferromagnetic transition at the two-dimensional limit. In the presentation, we will report the detailed MBE growth process and discuss the magnetic properties of the obtained films.
