[19a-Z10-8] Design of Efficient Coupling between Valley Photonic Crystal Waveguide and Metallic Line

We are aiming to integrate valley photonic crystal waveguides and resonant tunneling diodes, which are small active devices in the terahertz band. However, since the scales of the two devices differ by about two orders of magnitude, a mode-converter structure is needed to combine them efficiently. In this study, we designed a highly efficient interface between a valley photonic crystal waveguide and a metal line, and obtained an average coupling efficiency of -1.9 dB in the range of 0.305 THz to 0.329 THz by simulation.
