In optical wireless power transmission (OWPT) system using image procssing for moving target, it is common to put identification markers on the object.
We had previously used infrared LED as a marker for indoor and outdoor object recognition, however, the infrared LED could not be detected at outdoor due to high intensity of infrared spectrum of sunlight. On the other hand, deep ultraviolet (wavelength < 280 nm) does not exist in the sunlight on the surface of the earth. In this research, UV LED (wavelength = 280 nm) is used as identification marker for target recognition at outdoor OWPT system. Using this method, target recognition using LED as marker for outdoor OWPT system has been realized.
