Keywords:optical wireless power transmission

In this study, we carried out transmission experiments by using a 609 nm solid-state laser, an AR-coated plano-convex lens, and a concentrated GaInP solar cell for long-distance (~50 m) optical wireless power transmission. More than 48.3 m, the laser beam diameter widened and deviated from the lens(diameter 72.5 mm), resulting in decreased laser light intensity and reduced system efficiency. It is essential to use a laser with a smaller divergence angle or suppress the laser's divergence angle to extend the power transmission distance without degrading the system efficiency.
