In this work, we offered an opening report on the successful fabrication of a series of orthorhombic Fe2TiO5-FeTi2O5 solid solution thin films grown on SrTiO3 (100) substrates by pulsed laser deposition. Then, we gave the first experimental confirmation on strong ferromagnetic behaviors at room temperature (300K) in both Fe2-xTi1+xO5 (x = 0.5 and 0.7) samples. With the fact that ferromagnetism can still be exhibited at 400K in Fe1.5Ti1.5O5 films, our research might lay a solid foundation as a new available material candidate for future cost-effective spintronics devices.
