In order to understand and apply the function of brain, it is necessary to observe neural networks in three-dimensional space on the timescale of neural activity and with the spatial resolution that allows cell separation. However, conventional scanning microscopes do not have enough temporal resolution. To solve this problem, we developed a light-field microscope that performs single-shot 3D observation and improved its resolution. In this presentation, we will explain the results of the improvement of spatial resolution.
