Keywords:Organic semiconductors, piezoresistive effect

The crystal structure of organic semiconductor single crystals is sensitive to strain. Mechanical deformation in the crystal structure correlates electron conduction through the modulation of periodic potential of the crystal. Particularly in high-quality single crystal thin films, macroscopic strain induced by bending a substrate causes microscopic changes in lattice constants. In this talk, we will introduce the giant piezoresistive effect in organic semiconductors and its application to strain sensors.
