There have been an increasing demand for realization of unconventional computers capable of executing complex tasks that the classical von-Neumann computer cannot readily address. In this presentation, potential of spintronics technology for such applications will be discussed. Overview on this field will be firstly given, followed by proof-of-concept demonstration of probabilistic computing where thermally-unstable stochastic magnetic tunnel junctions are used as stochastic neurons.
