[20a-P02-11] Thermal Analysis and Crystal Structure Analysis of Cold Crystallization of Heat-storing Azo Dye Molecules

The cold crystallization of azo dye molecules was investigated by thermal analysis and crystal structure analysis. The alkyl derivatives of Sudan III showed supercooling instead of crystallization during cooling, and exhibited the cold crystallization. In addition, thermal analysis of Sudan IV bearing the methyl group was conducted. The crystallinity was changed by the steric hindrance of the methyl group, and the chain length range where cold crystallization occurred was varied.
