[20a-P04-2] Transportation of droplet using SAW and measurement of it using LSPR
Keywords:surface acoustic wave, droplet transportation
Droplet transportation is possible by a surface acoustic wave (SAW). When a droplet property is measured by a localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) sensor, the sensor response is strongly influenced by the shape of the droplet. This means that the change of the droplet shape is avoided during droplet transportation. For this purpose, the SAW propagating surface was treated to a slippery liquid-infused porous surface (SLIPS). The change of the droplet shape is reduced on the SLIPS. Moreover, the applied electric power for droplet transportation can be reduced using the SLIPS.
