[20a-P06-11] Integration of all-solid-state electrodes into microfluidic channel for saliva monitoring
Keywords:all-solid-state electrode, ion sensor, microfluidics
Monitoring of ions in saliva is expected to be useful for early diagnosis of dental caries and other diseases. In this study, a device incorporating ion-selective electrodes in a microfluidic channel was fabricated to measure the concentration of ions in saliva. All-solid-state ion-selective electrodes were used to reduce the size of the device. The integration of the electrodes into the microfluidic channel enabled measurement of a small amount of sample. Solutions of different ion concentrations were introduced into the device and the potential response was measured.
