For the purpose to explore new materials, it is necessary to develop an automatic and efficient system for searching the best point by indentation method, for instance, automated indentation identifies the best point with higher strength in in-plane gradient materials. This study newly developed a prototype system to automatically search the best point of mechanical properties by the indentation method and verified the prototype system by preparing samples with in-plane gradient of mechanical properties. Next, in order to obtain the universal mechanical properties such as Young's modulus and yield stress from the load-displacement curve obtained by the indentation method, we attempted an inverse analysis using a neural network. By using this method in the above search system, it is possible to efficiently search for the best point for universal mechanical properties. Thus, this may be a high-throughput method of mechanical property evaluation to explore a new material.
