Keywords:radiation detectors, heteroepitaxial diamond, diamond semiconductor

Diamond has excellent radiation resistance and can be operated at high temperatures. Although radiation detectors have been reported using natural diamond and CVD homoepitaxial diamond, this study reports on the fabrication of a radiation detector using heteroepitaxial diamond, which can be made larger up to 2 inches in diameter.
