Direct measurement of birefringence ($\Delta n = 0.023$) and retardance of \ce{SiO2} chevron film was carried out using Berek compensator as a benchmark. This approach is adaptable to deep learning and artificial intelligence implementation using chromaticity coordinates and RGB (or other) color analysis.
