当研究室では、超高精度を有する独自の「統計干渉法 (SIT)」を用いて、植物の成長挙動について研究している。植物がもつナノメートルスケールの微小な成長ゆらぎは、植物の健康状態を反映しているとみられる。本研究では、そのゆらぎの起源にせまるため、遠赤色光を用いた照射実験を新たに実施した。講演では、実際の植物成長のプロセスなどを踏まえ、考え得る成長ゆらぎの原因について紹介する。
