[20p-B101-10] Spatial distribution by spin wave in feedback structure

Spin waves in magnetic materials have been studied as devices with ultra-low power consumption because there is no charge transfer and no Joule heat. To control the amplification and modulation of spin waves, feedback structures have been studied. However, the part of the feedback structure is consisted by electrical control, thus the loss in the conversion from magnetic to electrical signals is large.
In this study, we aim to achieve highly efficient amplification and modulation of spin waves by constructing the feedback structure with a spin waveguide. However, fabricating the feedback structure requires ring waveguide and back again to the straight waveguide, it is necessary to perform mode conversion of the spin wave because the propagation direction of the spin wave changes relative to the external magnetic field in the ring structure.
However, no experiments were to study the propagation characteristics of spin waves in micro-sized ring structure. Therefore, we measured the spatial intensity of the spin wave at the ring structure by Brillouin light scattering spectroscopy using a micro-sized feedback structure.
