Co-substituted BiFeO3, (BiFe0.9Co0.1O3, BFCO) is a multiferroic material with ferroelectricity and weak ferromagnetism at room temperature. For the application of BFCO to ultra-low power consumption memory, single ferroelectric and ferromagnetic domains are desirable. Here, synthesis of BFCO nanodots with porous alumina mask(AAO) anodized in malonic acid is established. The obtained nanodot array had larger diameters and thicknesses compared to one fabricated with AAO mask anodized in oxalic acid. The results of polarization switching and magnetic domains by PFM and MFM will be reported.
