[20p-B200-3] Development of nanoporous glass devices for ultra-early cancer diagnosis

Hiroshi Yukawa1,2 (1.Nagoya Univ., 2.QST Quantum Life)

Keywords:exosome, glass-device, early-stage cancer diagnosis

Exosomes are membrane endoplasmic reticulum secreted from cells, which encapsulate and express informational substances such as nucleic acids, proteins, and sugar chains, and are responsible for intercellular communication. We have succeeded in developing a nanoporous glass device that can collect exosomes efficiently and easily at medical institutions. We also focused on bile as a new diagnostic fluid, and investigated the possibility of new diagnostic techniques for biliary tract cancer and other cancers by analyzing exosomes contained in bile.
