Building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) is an effective way to reduce carbon emissions and achieve carbon neutrality. However, the traditional solar cells spoil the aesthetics of buildings because of their dark colors. Therefore, colored BIPV is essential and attracts more and more attention [1]. In the previous report [2], we have fabricated textured colored PV minimodules by encapsulating silicon heterojunction solar cells (SHJ) with textured colored glasses (CGs). The CGs are based on the optical interference effect of dielectric multilayers (MLs) with high and low refractive index materials (TiO2 and SiO2, respectively). The colors can be simply controlled by modifying the thickness of dielectric materials. In addition, the textured CGs mitigate the specular reflection effectively and thus moderate the glare-effect. However, the intrinsic feature of the interference effect greatly impacts optical properties over a wide range of angle (θ) of incidence. In this report, we evaluate the angle independence of these textured colored PV minimodules in detail.
