Fermi energy and electronic properties of organic semiconductors are controlled by doping technology. In particular, chemical doping is a simple method according to electron transfer reaction. However, conventional chemical doping is carried out only under inert conditions and has problems with the accuracy of Fermi level control. In this study, we have developed a stable chemical doping method in aqueous solutions, which is based on proton-coupled electron transfer reaction whose redox potential varies depending on pH of doping solution without reactions with water.
