Keywords:hydrogel, wet-adhesion, bio-inspired materials
Inspired by the foot threads of mussels, the development of catechol group-containing materials that adhere in water has been actively studied for application, especially in the medical field. In this study, we designed wet-adhesive catechol group-containing hydrogels by combining amine-containing thermoresponsive polymers and polydopamine. The prepared films showed adhesive properties in water and were temperature-responsive. In the future work, we plan to investigate the use of this adhesive hydrogel for the bonding of living organisms and biological devices in water.
